Why a floor-standing fireplace?

One of the main advantages of a floor-standing ethanol fireplace is that, unlike some XXL ethanol fireplaces, no work is required before you can use it. As soon as you receive it, all you have to do is assemble a few parts, but there's no need to drill holes in the wall, unlike wall-mounted ethanol fireplaces. This is very practical if you don't want to make a hole in your home, or if you're renting and your landlord won't allow you to do so, while still enjoying the pleasure of the flame.

The other advantage of ethanol fireplaces is that they are mobile. This means that if you feel like changing your interior decoration, or rearranging your home, you can easily move the fireplace.

You can even move your ethanol fireplace to suit your current needs. If you need to provide heat in the kitchen, you can move your fireplace there, then later move it back to the living room, for example with small table-top ethanol fireplaces.

Choosing a floor-standing fireplace?

One of the first things to consider when choosing your floor-standing ethanol fireplace is the power generated by the burner(s). To adapt the power to the heating needs of a room, we use the rule of thumb of 1 Kw per 10m2.
Once the power of the bio ethanol burner has been determined, the most interesting part is the choice of design. There are many designs available.

It's up to you to give free rein to your desires to sublimate your interior with an ethanol fireplace. If you're looking for a vertical model, opt for the Bari, a "bar" model, opt for the Lecce XL, or a rounded model, there's the BariIzoa.
You can also retrofit a traditional fireplace with an ethanol flue.

What about safety?

Although very easy to use, an ethanol fireplace contains flammable fuel, liquid ethanol, and therefore requires a few safety precautions.

We recommend that you place your ethanol fireplace on a flat, stable surface to prevent it from falling. For the same reason, we advise against placing it in a busy traffic area where it could be knocked over.
It is advisable to place it in a place where there is no direct draught that could cause the flame to move too much and risk igniting a nearby material (curtain, plant, etc...).

As far as moving the fireplace is concerned, this should be done with the flame out and once the fireplace has been lit. Finally, if you have children, we recommend a model with protective glass, or to add one to avoid any risk of contact with the fire, and not to leave ethanol in the burner tank when it is not in use.
